Teen Center

The Teen Center at the Alameda Boys & Girls Club is a safe spot for teens to come after school and engage in a variety of activities and programs according to their interests and passions.

Teen members at the Club are not limited to only programming in our Teen Center, however! There are special teen programs in every program area throughout the Club.

Diplomas to Degrees

Diplomas to Degrees (D2D) is a college and career readiness program for ages 13 and up. Our goal in D2D is to help prepare teens at the Club as they prepare for their high school graduation and their plans after high school. Please see the Diplomas to Degrees Page for more information. 

Keystone Club

Keystone Club is a Boys & Girls Club program for teens in grades 9-12, offering leadership development through activities focused on academic success, career preparation, and community service. Guided by an adult advisor, it aims to positively impact teens, their Club, and the community, with opportunities for national involvement.

Pathways to Adulthood

Pathways to Adulthood promotes responsibility in teen Club members through interactive activities, engaging them in discussions and experiences that reinforce positive behavior, relationships, and essential life skills.

Adventurer's Guild

Every Tuesday after school, our teens have the opportunity to join in a fast-paced, fun-filled Dungeons & Dragons Campaign led by our very own staff Dungeonmaster! For those who are unfamiliar with RPGs, or have always been curious, the Adventurer's Guild is a great way to learn about tabletop gaming and enjoy building a character in a safe space.

Mind Matters teaches members how to heal from adverse experiences using innovative methods grounded in current research and neuroscience. It provides members with tools to manage their emotions and improve their overall state of mind.

2023 Youth of the Year: Dante Mosier-Tidd

Dante, a three-year Club member, was recognized as our 2023 Youth of the Year for demonstrating great leadership skills in his role as Vice President of the Keystone Club, his dedication to his educational success, his positive attitude in mentoring our younger youth and his effort in being a good friend to his peers. Dante aims to obtain a degree in Psychology and become a therapist. He eventually wants to write his own book! “These [Club] experiences helped me stay strong through school by giving me something to look forward to, as well as helped me create friendships and learn what I could do within the Club.” We look forward to continue helping Dante achieve personal, academic and professional success in his remaining years of high school and at the Club. In the Spring, Dante will move on to compete in the Northern California Youth of the Year Competition.
