Alameda Boys & Girls Club provides vital college and career exploration opportunities for teens.

D2D is a targeted program that encourages teens to make connections between their interests and future career paths, plan and prepare to enter postsecondary education, and develop the social-emotional skills and attributes to be successful in their educational endeavors.

Diplomas to Degrees (D2D) is a college and career readiness program for ages 13 and up. Our goal in D2D is to help prepare teens at the Club as they prepare for their high school graduation and their plans after high school. This space in the Club will ensure our high school students receive support and resources to gain access to college.

Our Approach

Each day afterschool teens participate in activities designed to draw connections between their interests and future career paths, prepare them for postsecondary education, and develop social-emotional skills and attributes. The D2D program is designed to:

  • Emphasizes the importance of post-secondary education and career success 
  • Focuses on both short- and long-term goals 
  • Shares knowledge of and assists with financial aid and scholarship applications 
  • Provides opportunities for career exploration through presentations, workshops, and field trips

Money Matters


Money Matters fosters financial skills in teens to help lead to workplace readiness, lifelong financial stability, and overall success. Teens learn how to set goals, budget, save, and invest through interactive and engaging sessions with staff, as well as digital tools and games.
