Imagination Blooms HERE!
Celebrating 75 years of excellence in service to the youth of our communities.
In 1949, local Alameda businessman Leonard E. Lee noticed a group of young boys from a nearby housing project playing in the street, he decided to take action. 75 years later, our remarkable staff supports hundreds of youth and teens in Alameda every week. Each day we serve our kids with the belief that Imagination Blooms Here.

Our Approach
What Our Youth Say About Us
Day In The Life
Alameda Boys & Girls Club provides a place where all youth, no matter their circumstances, can make great discoveries about themselves and engage in educational and recreational activities. And it’s all done in a safe environment and led by positive role models and leaders. We meet kids and teens where they are and help them to take steps forward to reach their potential. By focusing on safety, academic support, and character development, we’re helping youth find – and achieve – brighter futures.
