Donate to Our Youth Development Center
Plans are now underway to replace our outdated building with a brand new state-of-the-art Youth Development Center. Our new Center will provide up to 3,000 Alameda youth each year with the support and services they need to reach their full potential as productive and caring citizens.
Our building campaign is going strong, but we need your help to reach our goal of $10 million.
Where will it be located?
We have a 99-year lease on 1.5 acres of land in the West Alameda area of Woodstock in partnership with the Alameda School District. It’s within easy walking distance of three elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school, and accessible by local buses from other schools.
What will the center be like?
This facility will be open to children every day and evening after school, on weekends, and during vacation periods, providing a vital recreational and educational facility for our community. Plans include a gymnasium, teen center, games room, computer lab, learning center, arts and crafts center, music and dance areas, dental and health screening clinic, and administrative offices.

Please note: The Alameda Boys & Girls Club is currently operating at a temporary location and is serving teens from ages 12 to 18 only at this time. When the new Clubhouse is completed in 2010, we will be pleased to again welcome boys and girls starting at age 6.
